Role Description The Community Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cayce, SC, responsible for the day-to-day operations and overall resident experience at a student housing community. This position oversees leasing activities, resident relations, property maintenance coordination, and compliance with company policies and housing regulations. The Community Manager leads and supports on-site staff, monitors occupancy and revenue goals, and ensures timely rent collection and accurate reporting. The role includes organizing resident events, addressing resident feedback and concerns, and collaborating with regional management to implement operational and marketing strategies. The Community Manager also partners with vendors and contractors as needed to maintain a safe, well-presented, and highly functional community environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong property management and operations skills, including experience with student or multifamily housing, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
  • Resident relations and customer service skills, with the ability to build community, resolve conflicts, and maintain a professional, welcoming environment.
  • Team leadership and staff supervision skills, including coaching, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Administrative and organizational skills, including proficiency with property management software, reporting, and documentation.
  • Sales and marketing skills, including leasing, outreach to local schools or organizations, and basic digital marketing or social media promotion.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on-site with a flexible schedule (including occasional evenings and weekends), and respond promptly to community needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a community manager, leasing manager, or related role in housing or hospitality is highly beneficial.
