Optical Assistant/Receptionist

## Overview
We are searching for sale associates who are focused and looking for exciting opportunities in eye care or retail. We look for employees who are energetic, reliable, punctual, friendly and excited to learn and grow. We are located in the mall in Carlsbad, CA where we passionately serve and support our local community and especially military communities’ optical needs

## Duties

• Overall: General retail tasks, open/close the store, maintain clean environment, operate cash resister, assist patients. Check in doctors patients, help them with their selection of glasses/contact lenses, fit and sell merchandise.
• Demonstrates product knowledge in a manner to help patients explore possibilities.
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to understand and explain patients insurance benefits as well as bill claims.
• Provides enthusiastic and concise communication to meet/ exceed patient expectations as well as foster positive partnerships with peers, management, doctor and support staff.
• Support team members to accomplish daily duties

## Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience a retail or sales environment: 1 year (preferred)
• Looking for someone responsible, punctual, good ethics, and time management skills
• Ability to demonstrate an exemplary commitment to provide exceptional customer service/sales
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task; ability to respond flexibly in a quickly changing environment
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Ability to manage priorities through adaptability, willingness to take calculated risks and follow-up
• Ability to sell through use of sales skills and accountability for sales results
• Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of basic phone and math skills
• Sound judgment

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
