Job Summary
Supervise the Venue Operations House Person team in setting up and breaking down event spaces—including tables, chairs, linens, and equipment—while ensuring The Pier Sixty Collection’s quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of event rooms and support the team in completing tasks efficiently and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the team in setting up and breaking down event spaces according to diagrams and timelines.
Maintain clean, organized storage rooms and monitor linen and supply levels.
Oversee production crew load-ins and ensure The Pier Sixty Collection’s interests are protected.
Support Banquet Captains and Managers during events as needed.
Monitor public areas (gallery, lobby, guest bathrooms) for cleanliness; restock supplies and remove trash.
Assist with room turns, vacuuming, deep cleaning, and maintaining ballroom and equipment cleanliness.
Set tables and stages with appropriate materials (linens, water, pads, etc.) for meetings and events.
Schedule House Person staff and attend BEO meetings when required.
Drive carts between venues (valid driver’s license required).
Assist coworkers and complete all management requests as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
3 years in hospitality/events, preferably as a house person or similar.
Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to read floorplans and direct team accordingly.
Flexible schedule; ability to work independently and under pressure.
Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
English proficiency required; bilingual a plus.
Valid driver’s license if operating carts.
