What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Dockmaster position at Pier Seven Resort Marina?
Pier 7 Marina is a gated, full-service marina on the South River in Edgewater, Maryland. We're known for deep-water slips, easy Chesapeake Bay access, and a welcoming atmosphere—perfect for catamarans and all kinds of boats.
What You'll Do:
- Support the Dock Master with daily operations: arrivals, departures, pump-outs, and slip assignments
- Help greet and assist boaters, handle slip reservations, and answer questions
- Keep docks, grounds, and facilities clean, safe, and in good shape
- Perform daily dock walks and enforce rules with a friendly, professional approach
Who We're Looking For:
- Passion for boating, the water, and great customer service
- Marina, dockhand, or related experience preferred
- Physically able to handle lines, walk docks, and work outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, positive team player who stays calm when things get busy
- Boating basics (knots, VHF, boating license, etc.) is plus
