Job Summary
-MUST HAVE PRIOR MARINE TRAVEL LIFT EXPERIENCE-
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Travel Lift Operator/Yard Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty travel lifts to move, lift, and position boats and other large equipment within our marina or boatyard facilities. Your expertise will ensure efficient operations, uphold safety standards, and support the seamless handling of vessels and materials. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment in a fast-paced environment dedicated to precision and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate travel lifts and associated heavy machinery with precision to lift, transport, and position boats or large equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections of lifting equipment before use to ensure safety and functionality.
- Rig vessels securely using appropriate rigging techniques, ensuring stability during movement.
- Coordinate with team members to plan lifting operations, ensuring clear communication throughout each task.
- Follow strict safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent accidents or damage during operations.
- Assist with materials handling, including loading and unloading supplies or parts using forklifts, boom trucks, or backhoes as needed.
- Manage yard staff to ensure all employees are billable at a minumum of 85% productivity.
- Ensure that the yard is clean and organized at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience operating travel lifts or similar heavy equipment in a construction site, marina, or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of crane operations and heavy machinery maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with rigging techniques for securing vessels or large loads.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts, boom trucks, backhoes, and excavators.
- Prior work on construction sites or shipping & receiving environments is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience operating heavy vehicles is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
