Duties
- Assist with the installation of rebar and concrete forms, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to schematics
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to support various construction tasks
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor to move materials, tools, and equipment around the site
- Support masonry work, including tile laying, stucco application, and concrete finishing
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately
- Conduct demolition, renovation, or restoration activities as directed by supervisors
- Help with framing, metal stud framing, carpentry, roofing, and trim carpentry tasks
- Mix concrete using concrete mixers and operate concrete pumping equipment for efficient pours
- Install flooring and perform caulking, plastering, and other finishing tasks to achieve quality results
- Safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or cranes when trained and certified
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris and securing tools
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting tools and equipment
- Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and materials needed
- Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing techniques
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and commercial driving is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring devices
- Knowledge of masonry, metal stud framing, drywall installation, roofing, and stucco application
- Familiarity with safety protocols on construction sites including heavy lifting procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards
- Strong teamwork skills combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
