Duties
- Greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are noted clearly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, upselling specials and beverages to maximize sales opportunities.
- Manage tables effectively by coordinating with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and delivery, utilizing culinary experience when necessary.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables promptly, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and sanitation protocols.
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize seating arrangements for maximum guest satisfaction.
- Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address concerns proactively, and ensure an outstanding guest experience.
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food preparation, bussing, or host/host duties as needed.
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient restaurant operations during night shifts or busy service hours in nightclub or fine dining settings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality and guest relations.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during high-volume service periods.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and basic food handling procedures.
- Previous experience in serving roles within nightclubs or upscale restaurants is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for cashiering transactions and managing tabs accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
