What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graders and Sorters, Agricultural Products position at Pieper Farms LLC?
We need seasonal help from May through Feb to load and fill potato storage, manage the storing of the potatoes including temperature and humidity control during the storage season. Employees will need to monitor and adjust humidity to keep optimum storage conditions. Load and unload of the storage as well as the quality control of all potatoes that are being shipped out. This employee will be responsible for all of the washing, polishing, sizing and packaging of the potatoes to include but not limited to grading and sorting of products according to factors such as size, color and quality to ensure correct processing and usage. Place products in containers according to grade and mark grades on containers. In May employee will prepare all wash line equipment in preparation for the June harvest of potatoes. Employee will also need to do routine repairs and maintenance on all grading equipment. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience.
