Manufacturing Laborer

Role, Function & Organization

Execute manual labor tasks and focusing on shipping and receiving, material transport, hand tool operation, ability to work under minimal supervision after training, while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Typically working 8-10Hr shifts. Hours TBD.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Shipping, Receiving, Parts allocation to projects
• Packaging & building containers for shipment.
• Data entry, labels, lamicoids etc.
• Painting
• Project wrap up filing
• Inventory control
• Shop maintenance and housekeeping
• Cintas Spare parts admin
• Parts Pick-up
• Lunchroom upkeep
• Dishwasher, Towels, Stock coffee
• Event setup - Tables and chairs
• Steel, aluminum, wire recycle drop-off
• Misc. – small, one-time organization projects
• Minor equipment and tooling maintenance
  
  

Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination

• Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
• Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
• Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
• Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
• Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

• High School Diploma; or 1-2 years of related experience and/or training
  
  

Experience, Skill And Abilities

• Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision to distinguish wire colors
  
  

Physical Requirements
