What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Baker position at Piehouse Bakery LLC?
Piehouse Bakery is looking for a Morning Baker to prepare and bake early scones, croissants, pot pies and more. Also help with drive-thru and front customers when busy. Responsibilities include opening the bakery early in the morning, mixing batter, preparing fillings, glazing pastries and support morning drive-thru. The ideal candidate would possibly have experience in a commercial kitchen, be able to follow recipes accurately, and have a passion for creating delicious baked goods. All qualified applicants will receive considerations for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Preparing ingredients: Bakers are responsible for measuring and weighing ingredients according to recipes and preparing for baking. They must follow recipes accurately, paying close attention to measurements, temperatures, and timing.
Meeting quality standards: They must visually inspect each item for appearance and texture, ensuring that they are properly cooked and free from defects. Complies with dating procedures for all bakery products. Maintains work areas in a clean and sanitary manner and in accordance with ServSafe standards, and shares in the daily clean-up.
Must be presentable when reporting to work, wearing appropriate, clean uniform, free of pet hair. And hair restrained.
Pay based on qualifications.
Requirements:
Must be reliable and able to be at work on time
Excellent time management skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to work early mornings, Tues-Sat. and holidays
Non-slip work-only shoes; jeans or black pants
Education and Experience:
Worked in a professional kitchen, college training or solid home baker
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 pounds
