Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon Community Practice

Piedmont Physician Enterprise (PE) in Athens, GA is seeking a fellowship trained plastic and reconstructive surgeon at Piedmont Athens Regional.The candidate will have a primary clinical interest in breast and microsurgery with the opportunity to join the growing surgical program in the community. Applicants should be board eligible or board certified in plastic surgery. PE Plastic Surgery is a hospital-employed practice within the Piedmont Health network of care. The practice provides the full spectrum of reconstructive plastic surgery. The successful candidate will work closely with the PE Athens Comprehensive Breast Health Center and Surgeons and will have close collaboration with other surgical specialists with a focus on reconstructive plastic surgery.

Piedmont Henry is a 259-bed, high volume hospital; a major expansion project is slated for completion this year (2026), which will bring the bed totals to 355. Piedmont Henry earned an A grade on the 2025 LeapFrog Hospital Safety Survey.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care (fellowship trained with Palliative Care experience is highly preferred)
• Exceptional clinical and communication skills
• Ability to obtain a Georgia Medical License

Position Purpose

• Perform inpatient and palliative care consultations
• Provide clinical leadership and expertise within the palliative care clinical team
• Assist patients and families in navigating complex medical decisions; help manage physical and emotional symptoms of patients with serious and complex illnesses; meet with families and patients to determine goals of care and document patients advance care wishes.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience of care
