Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated /Prep Cook to join our culinary team. Experience is not essential to start out. In this role, you will play a vital part in food preparation and cooking, ensuring that our kitchen operates efficiently and that our guests receive high-quality meals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, experience in a restaurant or dietary department, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will start preparing salads, desserts and appetizers. There is always room to move up and learn as you go.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; assist with ordering as needed.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- Participate in regular kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes and operational improvements.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or dietary department is preferred.
