What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Radiation Oncology Operations ARRT position at Piedmont Healthcare?
JOB PURPOSE:
Technical and functional activities relating to the efficient operation of Radiation Oncology Services. Responsibilities include materials management, patient and employee satisfaction, human resources, billing, and assuring that all aspects of radiotherapy are delivered accurately and in a timely manner with appropriate resources.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduation from an ARRT accredited radiation therapy program. Registered in radiation therapy with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years experience as a radiation therapist and three (3) years supervisory/management experience
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.

1. Manages daily departmental operations.
2. Develops and communicates quality improvement activities.
3. Coordinates and manages all materials management functions.
4. Manages all radiation therapists, nurses and support personnel in Radiation Oncology Services.
5. Makes decisions that enhance productivity and reduce costs.
6. Provides leadership of personnel through guidance, feedback and delegation.
7. Operates and effectively utilizes hospital computer systems.
8. Oversees accurate treatment delivery.
9. Promotes and monitors customer service excellence.
