This is a full-time on-site position for an Ophthalmic Technician at our Lynchburg, VA location. Responsibilities include assisting eye specialists with patient care, conducting diagnostic tests such as fundus photography, scribing for physicians during exams, and ensuring accurate medical documentation. The role also involves supporting procedures and treatments related to ophthalmology and optometry, while ensuring a high standard of patient care and comfort.
- Knowledge and experience in Ophthalmology and Optometry
- Proficiency in scribing for medical examinations
- Skill in performing diagnostic procedures such as Fundus Photography
- Understanding of medical concepts related to Eye Medicine and treatment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or equivalent certification is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a clinical, team-oriented environment
