Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lynchburg, VA for an Ophthalmic Scribe. The Ophthalmic Scribe will work closely with ophthalmologists, documenting patient medical histories and examination findings accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities include transcribing physician-patient interactions, assisting in patient care, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining updated records for enhanced patient management. Strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA regulations are essential to ensure patient privacy and documentation accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proficient in medical terminology, transcription, and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong skills in documentation, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Ability to assist with preparing exam rooms and supporting patient care tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site healthcare environment
