What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Support Specialist PT position at Piedmont Community Services?
Piedmont Community Services is seeking a Residential Support Specialist to assist adults with developmental disabilities on a day-to-day basis with routine personal care needs, social support, and physical assistance in a wide range of daily living activities. This position ensures that individuals living in the group home receive individualized care, maintain dignity, and enjoy a safe comfortable home environment while leading a self-directed life in their own community. Must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, with additional education / experience in human services fields preferred. Basic computer skills are needed along with good patient documentation skills. Must have a valid driver's license, safe driving record, and reliable ability to transport self to worksites, trainings, and meetings. Experience with ID/DD individuals and CNA is a plus but not required. Multiple shifts needed, rotating weekend availability may be required.
