Job Summary

Duties
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing educational activities aligned with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, and nap schedules in accordance with health and safety guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
Skills
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development instruction
- Experience working with children, especially in preschool or daycare settings
- Child supervision skills with a focus on safety and attentive caregiving
- Familiarity with pediatric first aid, CPR, and basic first aid procedures
- Ability to implement classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety
- Childcare experience including nannying or babysitting is highly valued
- Ability to adapt quickly to different children's needs and foster an inclusive learning environment
