Our projects celebrate the textural richness of California's most spectacular settings and we are committed to site-specific, modern, and highly crafted architecture that integrates seamlessly with the landscape.Position DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented Architectural Designer to join our tight-knit team. This role works directly with the principal and project architects on meaningful residential and hospitality projects. You'll contribute to all phases of design, from conceptual sketching through construction administration, while developing your craft in a studio that values creativity, initiative, and thoughtful design.Primary Responsibilities: Prepare and develop architectural documents, including elevations, sections, and construction details using Archicad and other design softwareCollaborate with Project Architects and Project Managers to understand and adhere to project work plans and timelinesParticipate in all phases of project delivery, from schematic design through construction administrationCoordinate with consultants and project team members to ensure design integrity and qualityCreate presentation materials, including renderings, models, and design drawings for client reviewsConduct research on building codes, zoning regulations, materials, and sustainable design practicesAttend site visits and provide in-field support during construction phasesWork closely with cross-functional teams to meet aggressive project deadlinesContribute creative design concepts and problem-solving approaches to project challengesRequirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program2-5 years of professional experience post gradProficiency in ArchiCAD preferred (not required)Demonstrated expertise in SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and materialsKnowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and accessibility standardsStrong technical drawing and detailing skillsAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time-management abilitiesInterest in materiality, craftsmanship, and the integration of architecture with its environmentWhat We OfferComprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)Every Other Friday Off (compressed work schedule)Generous vacation and holidaysProfessional development support Hybrid flexibility with collaborative in-office cultureThe compensation range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.
