Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cupcakes, pastries, and other confections, following established recipes and standards.
- Decorate cakes and cupcakes with creative designs, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
- Assist in dough preparation, mixing ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes for consistent results.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently.
- Package baked items carefully for sale or delivery while maintaining presentation quality.
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and ensuring all surfaces and tools are sanitized regularly.
- Support high-volume production needs during busy periods while adhering to recipe guidelines and quality standards.
Skills
- Previous experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques and pastry arts to create visually appealing products.
- Strong food handling skills with an understanding of food safety management practices.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory.
- Excellent customer service skills to assist customers with product inquiries or special requests.
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes is a plus.
