Pay: $375–$1,850 per week
Location: Lafayette, IN / Sports complexes throughout Indiana and nearby regions.

About Picture Pros

Picture Pros Photography photographs youth athletes at tournaments across the country while creating a positive experience for players, coaches, and families.

We’re expanding our Indiana & Midwest recruiting area and looking for dependable, energetic people who enjoy photography, youth sports, travel, and working with customers.

This role combines photography, customer service, sales, travel, and event operations.

Success comes from taking quality photographs, communicating confidently with athletes and families, staying organized during busy tournaments, and helping customers choose photo products they’ll enjoy for years to come.

Photography or sales experience is helpful, but reliability, communication, coachability, and a strong work ethic are equally important.

Compensation

This is a performance-based 1099 independent contractor opportunity and is not a traditional hourly position.

For qualifying full events, contractors receive either their earned commission or an applicable minimum event protection amount of $375, whichever is greater, subject to company policies and event requirements.

Compensation can increase with photography production, customer engagement, sales performance, and assigned event responsibilities.

Actual earnings vary based on event size, responsibilities, production, sales results, and individual performance.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities may include:

• Photograph youth sports teams and individual athletes
• Organize players and coaches for team photos
• Work efficiently within tournament schedules
• Deliver a friendly and professional customer experience
• Explain photo products and ordering options
• Assist parents and families with purchases
• Distribute ordering information and photo proofs
• Track assigned teams and event progress
• Assist with photography equipment and event materials
• Help with event setup and breakdown
• Communicate with the Event Manager throughout the assignment
• Support general event operations as needed

This is not a photography-only position.

Team members are expected to contribute to photography, customer interaction, sales, organization, and overall event execution.

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a current valid driver's license
• Have a DSLR or mirrorless camera
• Have reliable transportation
• Be able to reach designated meeting or departure locations
• Have regular Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability
• Be comfortable with overnight and multi-day travel
• Have strong communication skills
• Be confident interacting with parents and customers
• Be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Be able to lift and carry photography and event equipment
• Have basic computer and smartphone skills
• Maintain professional appearance and communication
• Be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Previous professional photography experience is not required for every applicant.

Schedule and Travel

This is a traveling weekend opportunity.

Most assignments take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Assignments may include:

• Friday travel
• Thursday departures for some events
• Early-morning departures
• Full-day tournaments
• Outdoor venues
• Local and regional driving
• Overnight travel
• Multi-day tournaments
• Hotel stays
• Longer-distance assignments when scheduled

Some tournaments may require departure earlier than Friday or a later return depending on the event schedule and travel distance.

Applicants should have a schedule that allows for regular weekend travel and overnight assignments.

We communicate exact event and travel details before an assignment is accepted.

The Work Environment

Youth sports tournaments are active, fast-paced, and sometimes physically demanding.

Applicants should be prepared for:

Some parts of an event move extremely quickly. Other parts require patience, organization, and attention to detail.

Photography Responsibilities

Successful photographers must be willing to:

• Follow Picture Pros photography standards
• Organize teams and athletes efficiently
• Communicate clearly with coaches and players
• Work within limited tournament timeframes
• Capture sharp and properly framed images
• Accept photography coaching and feedback
• Protect photography equipment
• Follow required image-handling and upload procedures

Owning a DSLR or mirrorless camera is required for this listing.

Sales and Customer Interaction

Sales and customer communication are an important part of this opportunity.

Team members interact directly with parents and families to explain our photo products and assist customers with purchases.

You do not need previous professional sales experience, but you must be willing to:

• Approach customers
• Start conversations
• Explain photo products clearly
• Answer customer questions
• Help families complete purchases
• Handle rejection professionally
• Remain positive and energetic
• Receive coaching on customer interaction and performance

Applicants who only want to take photographs and are unwilling to participate in customer interaction or sales will not be a strong fit.
