Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver / Machine Operator to join our team. This role involves operating commercial trucks and machinery to support outdoor work projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial truck driving and outdoor work, ensuring safe, efficient transportation and equipment operation. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to various outdoor projects while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport materials, equipment, and personnel to designated job sites efficiently and safely.
- Handle and operate various machinery required for outdoor work projects, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
- Conduct daily safety inspections of vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues or repairs needed.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation and operation activities.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury.
- Assist with grading, raking & shoveling materials
- Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, and equipment usage for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle operated.
- Outdoor work experience, comfortable working in various weather conditions and rugged environments.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to vehicle operation and outdoor work environments.
- Good physical condition with the ability to perform manual tasks associated with outdoor projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment.
This position is essential for supporting our outdoor projects through skilled driving and machinery operation, contributing directly to the success of our operations while prioritizing safety at all times.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
