Job Summary
The CNG Service & Frac Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all CNG Service Technicians and CNG Frac Technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery, installation, maintenance, and fracturing support operations. This role serves as the primary technical and operational leader for field-based CNG activities, balancing customer service, safety compliance, equipment readiness, and team performance.
The Supervisor will provide direct leadership, scheduling, training, and performance oversight while remaining hands-on as needed to support service, installation, maintenance, and fracturing operations. This position is critical to ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the company’s safety-first and customer-focused culture.
This position will support our CNG operations in the Permian Basin.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise CNG Service Technicians and CNG Frac Technicians, providing day-to-day leadership and operational guidance
- Assign work schedules, manage shift coverage (including 12-hour rotations where applicable), and coordinate job priorities
- Train, mentor, and evaluate technicians to ensure competency, safety compliance, and professional development
- Conduct field observations, safety talks, and performance feedback sessions
- Serve as the escalation point for technical, safety, and customer-related issues
- Oversee safe and efficient CNG deliveries, installations, repairs, and fracturing support operations
- Ensure proper preparation, staging, certification, and mobilization of CNG equipment, trailers, compressors, and Pressure Reduction Systems (PRS)
- Monitor operational parameters including pressure, flow rates, and temperatures during service and fracturing activities
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support for regulators, valves, instrumentation, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment
- Ensure demobilized equipment is inspected, repaired, tested, and returned to service readiness
- Ensure completion and accuracy of maintenance work orders, inspections, and service documentation
- Ensure work vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, clean, and compliant
- Enforce all company safety policies, DOT/FMCSA requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Participate in and lead safety inspections, audits, incident reviews, and corrective actions
- Ensure technicians are current on certifications, training, and management of change (MOC) installs or retrofits
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments in the field and at facilities
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers regarding service execution, technical questions, and issue resolution
- Support customer satisfaction through clear communication, professionalism, and timely service
- Assist with growth and retention efforts by supporting reliable, high-quality service delivery

Qualifications:Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience in CNG, natural gas, compression, or energy services
- Advanced knowledge of CNG systems, PRS, trailers, compressors, and fracturing support equipment
- Ability to obtain TXRRC service and installation certification
- Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and instrumentation systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
- Ability to effectively and efficiently use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
- Ability to maintain accurate logs and records
- Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

Education, Certification, Licenses Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent require
- Ability to effectively and efficiently use navigation tools such as GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
- Ability to maintain accurate driving and service logs and records
- Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 10 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift.
- Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift
- Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night
- Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms
- Must be able to speak and hear
- Position is subject to pre-hire non-/DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider
- Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
- Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed
- Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles and gases is common
