Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain grill station during service, cooking meats, vegetables, and other menu items to order
- Prepare and portion ingredients according to recipes and cafe standards
- Monitor food quality, temperature, and presentation before plates leave the kitchen
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grill station throughout the shift
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely ticket flow during peak hours
- Follow all food safety and handling guidelines in compliance with health codes
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned
- Previous experience as a grill cook, line cook, or similar role preferred
- Solid knowledge of grilling techniques and cooking temperatures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-heat kitchen environment
- Strong time management and multitasking skills during busy service periods
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
