What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Picnic?
Picnic Cafe is a small neighborhood cafe in the heart of Liberty Wells looking for someone to assist in the preparation of various pastries and baked goods. The ideal candidate for this position is dependable, hands-on, able to multitask, and works well in a team environment. We love people with a keen eye, responsible work ethic, critical thinking skills and attention to detail. There is also an opportunity to flex your creative muscles and come up with seasonal items and daily specials if that's something you're interested in.
We are willing to train the right candidate but if you have previous kitchen/bakery experience, that's even better!
Current shift available:
3 am - 11 am
Hiring for part time positions.
Typical job duties include:
- Morning bake off
- Following a prep list and production schedule
- Measuring ingredients and following recipes
- Mixing doughs and batters
- Performing routine kitchen tasks
- Stocking and labeling ingredients; ensuring proper storage
- Maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Performing other kitchen prep and duties
- Delivery of product to wholesale customers (certain positions)
Requirements:
- Current food handlers certification or the ability to get one
- Valid Drivers License if you are doing deliveries
