Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Meat Processing Manager to oversee the meat department operations in our food processing plant. Duties
- Manage daily operations of the meat processing department, including overseeing staff and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform meat cutting and fabrication tasks, ensuring products meet quality standards.
- Implement and maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols to ensure food safety.
- Train and supervise team members on proper meat handling, sanitation practices, and equipment usage.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working condition; perform basic mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
- Oversee inventory management, including assisting with ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in meat cutting and food processing within a production environment is a must.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles and OSHA safety standards is required.
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sanitation practices in a food production setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating leadership skills.
