Summary
As a Maintenance Assistant at Pickering Manor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our facilities. Your contributions will help create a comfortable living environment for our residents while supporting our mission of delivering top-notch senior care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is safe and operational.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS.
- Collaborate with other staff members to address maintenance requests promptly.
- Fabricate and install components as needed to support facility operations.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and installations.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff during maintenance interactions.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
- Basic electrical skills are essential for troubleshooting issues.
- Experience with CMMS or similar maintenance management software is a plus.
- Good communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial but not required.
- PRIOR FACILITY/BUILDING MAINTENANCE PREFERRED

- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Facilities maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
- building maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
