Responsibilities
- Provide strong leadership and supervision to nursing staff, fostering teamwork and professional development.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements including HIPAA.
- Coordinate staffing schedules to maintain optimal coverage and manage resource allocation efficiently.
- Facilitate patient assessments, medical documentation, and accurate medical records management using EMR/EHR systems such as MedConnect.
- Support clinical procedures including IV insertion, medication administration, in-house labs, EKGs, clinical procedures, and sterile processing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case management, physical therapy, social work, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare laws and regulations while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care for diverse populations including patients from cradle to grave, individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
Experience
- Demonstrated expertise in working with EMR/EHR systems.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy/physiology fundamentals.
- Supervisory experience managing nursing teams with a focus on staff development and performance improvement, not required.
- Familiarity with coding systems (ICD-9/10) and DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) classifications for billing and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to handle complex patient assessments involving vital signs monitoring, IV insertion, specimen collection/processing, and procedure protocols. Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
