What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Watch Attendant (All Branches) position at Pickens County YMCA?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Branch Executive, the Child Watch Attendant will be responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable environment for members and their children in accordance with the YMCA mission and policies of the association. Provides a qualify experience focused on the YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and faith.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Promote a positive environment that fosters fun, safety, and the YMCA values.
2. Greet parents and make children feel welcome.
3. Maintain a consistent professional image through dress, actions, and relationships with
others. Speak enthusiastically on behalf of the YMCA at given opportunities.
4. Ensure emergency procedures are followed and notify supervisor of any incidents and accidents immediately.
5. Relate to children, members, and staff in a positive manner.
6. Maintain visual and auditory supervision at all times.
7. Attend staff meetings and trainings.
8. Must be punctual on a daily basis and dressed according to policy provided in Code of Conduct.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be 16 years of age or older.
2. CPR/First Aid certified by an approved agency.
3. Possess a positive attitude and ability to follow directions.
4. A love of working with children. Experience with children preferred.
