Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and appearance of two company facilities
- Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and grounds
- Complete general building maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and other handyman-related work within skill level
- Coordinate and oversee outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, inspections, and facility projects
- Manage facility-related budgets, obtain vendor quotes, and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local building codes, environmental regulations, and company safety policies
- Conduct routine facility inspections and proactively identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Develop and prioritize maintenance schedules and facility improvement projects
- Support office expansions, renovations, furniture installations, and workspace reconfigurations
- Oversee building security systems, access control, lighting, HVAC, and other facility infrastructure
- Coordinate seasonal maintenance activities, including snow removal, landscaping, parking lot maintenance, and exterior upkeep
- Respond promptly to facility-related requests and emergency maintenance issues
- Maintain maintenance records, vendor documentation, and facility-related reports
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance workplace safety
- 3 years of facilities, maintenance, building operations, or construction experience preferred
- Strong working knowledge of general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Experience coordinating contractors and vendor relationships
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate corrective actions
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficient with basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and safety documentation is preferred
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working in various indoor and outdoor conditions
- OSHA safety training or related certifications
- Trade school education or technical certifications
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience managing facility improvement or capital projects
