What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Engineer position at PIC/MER?
PROJECT CONTROLS ENGINEER
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering OR 10 plus years of experience in automation
- 5 years of A-B and/or Siemens PLC Programming Experience in Manufacturing Automation
- 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, IT Applications, and Plant Floor Operations
- Proficient in Programming Skills, including using Studio 5000 and/or Step 7
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional presentation skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work closely with Clients
- Demonstrate strong Project Management skills within the controls automation environment
- Lead a team of engineers as required, ensuring effective collaboration and achieving project objectives
- Spearhead the execution, deployment, and integration of both hardware and software components
- Provide dedicated support to program goals during launch phases, ensuring adherence to standards in both build and process
- Lead or support Controls Coordinators, Launch Engineers, Simulation Specialists, Robot Specialists, and Automation Specialists
- Offer comprehensive management, tracking, resolution, follow-up, and reporting on project activities
- Travel may be required to support equipment installation
