Sales Associate

Piazza Produce offers a wide array of produce, locally sourced goods, specialty items, and more. Piazza Produce delivers to over 150 surrounding cities including those in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois, Tennessee, and Michigan. This allows us a large distribution network in which we are able to back haul and deliver products from producers who need help distributing their products

Piazza Produce is recruiting Sales Associate to come join our family. We are a company that can offer you benefits and longevity with job security. The Inside Sales Representative position is responsible for receiving incoming orders for customers, answering inquiries and questions, handling troubleshoot issues, conducting follow-up customer calls, completing call logs, presenting new or additional featured products to customers by recognizing opportunities to up-sell accounts. Essential Functions:

• Answer customer calls professionally
• Research required information using available resources
• Handle and resolve customer complaints
• Enter customer information
• Process orders and forms
• Identify and escalate priority issues
• Route calls to appropriate resource
• Follow up customer calls when necessary
• Sell additional products by recognizing opportunities to up-sell accounts
• Explain new items or featured products to customers
• Required to attend mandatory quarterly department meetings and annual sales meeting

Experience & Education:

• A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 1 year successful experience performing the above duties
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, produce industry software (or equivalent) and common E Mail systems are required

Physical Demands:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Travel as needed

Compensation:

• $18.00 /hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule:

• Sunday – Friday (Off Tuesdays and Saturdays)
• 2:00pm – 10:00pm
