Piasecki Steel Construction Corp., established in 1978, is a bridge rehab contractor specializing in the repair of structural steel and cable suspension bridges throughout New York State and the Northeast. Projects have included work on the Mid-Hudson Bridge (NY), North & South Grand Island Bridges (NY), Rip Van Winkle Bridge (NY), Newport Pell Bridge (RI), Delaware Memorial Bridge (DE), Walt Whitman Bridge (PA), Ben Franklin Bridge (NJ), and Ambassador Bridge (MI).
We are currently seeking motivated and responsible individuals for the position of a Bridge Construction Worker. Applicants should shave skills and/or experience in welding, torch cutting, rigging and blueprint reading, however, beginners will be considered. Our work is with publicly owed agencies and wages are based on the prevailing wage schedule [current Erie/Niagara Ironworker rate is $36.25/hr.]. You should expect to travel to various job sites as well as work year-round in all types of weather. The applicant must also be willing to perform all construction-related tasks as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to work at high elevations off the ground
- Must be willing to travel and stay out of town
- In good health and able to perform physical labor
- Construction related experience
