Part time regular position 30 hours a week, Monday-Friday,9am-3:30pm with some flexibility around the candidate's needs. This role is a regular, ongoing position, and not a temporary role. This position is based in our Nashua, NH location.
We are a technical precision machine shop. You will provide our manufacturing group with a variety of administrative support responsibilities with some duties in production. This is a fast paced workplace with many competing demands. You will occasionally be required to clean parts, perform light duty shipping duties, and serve as a backup driver using a company owned transportation vehicle. A clean driving record is required for this role.
We seek a flexible problem solver who wants to work in a technical production environment. The successful candidate must be a reliable team player who possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to perform multiple tasks and juggle multiple priorities with ease. This position requires 1-3 years of experience in an office, performing administrative duties. Experience in a production environment is not required. Must have great computer skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Phone, clerical, general office/mail support
- Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and databases
- Professionally greet and direct customers and other visitors.
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Research and create reports
- Archiving job paperwork
- Filing paperwork
- Provide support to our production crew with vendor invoicing, purchase orders, packing slips, ordering basic production supplies.
- This role will be needed to help with occasional transportation of product between locations (NH and MA only) with a company vehicle which is the equivalent of a minivan. Clean and valid driving record is required. A standard driver's license is all that is needed, no special license is required.
You should have the following qualifications:
- 2-5 years administrative work experience, preferably in a technical or production environment.
- Professional phone and customer service skills.
- A strong work ethic
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Possess a sense of urgency.
- Seeking a self-starter with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Must be self-directed and motivated.
- Must be well organized
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education highly desirable
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Must be able to utilize a database system to generate invoices, purchase orders, etc.
- Candidates must be able to produce evidence of the permanent ability to live and work in the US as an employment contingency.
- Clean and valid driving record. Current driving record from the DMV will be required prior to starting in this role.
