Overview
Our client is a Global Corporate & Investment Bank. They are seeking an experienced Credit Risk professional to join a leading financial institution’s Credit Risk team, focused on Project Finance, Infrastructure, and Commodity Finance. This role sits within a second line of defense function and will be responsible for credit assessment, approval, and ongoing monitoring of a diverse portfolio across energy, renewables, data centers, and trade finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed credit analysis across Project Finance (including renewables, infrastructure, and data centers) and Trade & Sustainable Commodity Finance transactions
- Evaluate obligor creditworthiness, including historical performance, financial metrics, and key risk drivers
- Provide credit recommendations or approvals, including thorough documentation for decision-making committees
- Validate internal risk ratings, loss given default (LGD) assumptions, and other regulatory credit parameters
- Monitor portfolio credit quality, including quarterly reviews and early identification of deteriorating exposures
- Participate in watchlist processes and ongoing risk discussions
- Track and assess market trends across bank and capital markets
- Partner with Portfolio Management and Governance teams on internal reporting and regulatory deliverables
- Contribute to credit policy development and broader risk appetite frameworks
- Support evaluation of new business initiatives, products, and financing structures
Profile & Experience
- 7 years of experience in credit risk within financial services
- Strong exposure to Project Finance, Infrastructure, and/or Commodity Finance
- Deep understanding of non-recourse financing structures and counterparty risk
- Familiarity with U.S. market dynamics and regulatory frameworks
- Proven ability to analyze complex transactions and make sound credit decisions
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills across business, legal, and compliance teams
Salary : $150,000 - $200,000
