As an Application Scientist, you will be part of our marketing and sales team in Boston. Your Responsibilities

• Provide expert application support to customers across the US working with ZI’s T&M instruments (lock-in amplifiers, impedance analyzers, AWGs);
• Conduct onsite system integration, demos, and training at customer laboratories;
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support sales growth and customer retention;
• Represent Zurich Instruments at trade shows, conferences, and academic events across the US;
• Collaborate with the global sales and product teams to relay customer feedback and application insights;
• Produce technical content including application notes, presentations, product documentation, and demo videos;
• Actively develop your commercial skills in a role that blends deep technical work with customer-facing impact.
  
  

Your profile

• PhD or Master’s in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related experimental science with hands-on lab experience;
• Solid practical experience with dynamic signal measurement — familiarity with lock-in detection, impedance spectroscopy, or waveform generation is a strong plus;
• Comfortable with scientific programming, ideally Python, for instrument control and data analysis;
• Strong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both academic and industrial audiences;
• Customer-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building relationships and developing commercial skills;
• Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently across a large territory.
