Physicians to Children is seeking an EXPERIENCED Appointment Scheduler to join our fast-paced pediatric office. **PLEASE NOTE TO BE CONSIDERED YOU MUST HAVE MEDICAL APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING EXPERIENCE*** Schedule: Mon - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm ( 1 hour lunch); Weekend Alternate Rotation (Sat. & Sun. 7:30am - 12noon*)
Responsibilities
- Schedules, coordinates, and reschedules patient appointments.
- Verifies demographic information and insurance eligibility; updates patient charts accordingly.
- Provides financial expectations to patients at time of scheduling.
- Constructs appointment templates according to provider rotation.
- Applies changes to provider scheduling template when needed.
- Creates newborn charts using data from physician and birth hospital.
- Requests discharge notes from hospital for follow-up visits.
- Assists with sales of lactation supplies.
- Tracks appointment volumes and runs reports.
- Completes follow-up processes according to the No Show Policy
- Processes and documents patient dismissals.
- Cross-trained in Registration and Medical Records, assists when needed.
Skills:
- REQUIRED: Medical Appointment scheduling experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with computer systems (Ex. MS Word, Excel)
- Attention to detail
- Proficient with Health Record Systems (Preferred)
- Previous Medical Office Experience (Preferred)

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
