Full-Time Registration Assistant/ Advance Imaging Center!
Physicians Surgical Hospitals deliver quality care to the Texas Panhandle from two surgical centers, Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital; one physical therapy center, Quail Creek Physical Therapy; and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo.
Responsibilities:
Registration Assistants will split their time performing both registration and scheduling responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Education/License/Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent - Required
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum of 1 year of job related experience in medical office, ambulatory surgery center or other health care organization with basic understanding of medical terminology, general computer skills, and experience scheduling appointments preferred
- Experience as a cashier or receptionist preferred
- General knowledge of government and commercial insurance
- Familiarity with billing procedures
- Ability to recognize, evaluate and correct errors
- Skill in computer inquiry and entry
- Familiarity with computer and phone system operations
- Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
