Radiology Technologist

Essential/Primary Responsibilities:

• Sets up C-Arms for examinations, takes x-rays of patients, and records results and downloads images into computer system.
• Operates, maintains, calibrates and adjusts C-Arms.
• Cleans, sterilizes and disinfects areas and equipment used daily.
• Imaging and/or photographic, audio-visual, or related equipment.
• Deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
• Performs other functions as assigned by Administrator and/or Clinical Coordinator.
• Completes accurate and legible documentation after each case.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintains safe environment for patients, co-workers and self.
• Take responsibility for the care of equipment.
• Consult with other staff members when in question or unfamiliar with equipment or procedure.
• Adheres to The Physicians’ Surgery Center Lancaster General’s policy and procedures.
• Responsibilities may include but are not limited to all of the above mentioned.
• Performed other functions assigned by the Clinical Coordinator or Administration Team.

Working Conditions and Physical Environment:

• Position requires standing, bending and lifting.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology.
• Current Pennsylvania Radiology License.

Skills and Experience:

• Computer typing skills / knowledge of medical terminology.
• Relevant medical experience and able to operate sterile processing departmental equipment.
• Minimum (2) years of operating room experience.
• Ability to use discretion in handling PHI. (protected health information)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
