Partnership health is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to support our members in achieving sustainable weight loss, improved health behaviors, and long-term lifestyle change. The ideal candidate is skilled in evidence‑based nutrition counseling, behavior-change strategies, and personalized meal planning.
We are looking for our Registered Dietitian to come and present us with a program for both individual and group counseling that will support weight loss and healthy lifestyle choices at our Franklin township/Somerset location.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including medical history, dietary habits, lifestyle factors, and readiness for change.
- Develop individualized nutrition care plans focused on weight management, chronic disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle improvement.
- Provide ongoing 1:1 or group counseling to coach and to support behavior modification, goal setting, and accountability.
- Create customized meal plans, shopping guides, and educational resources aligned with clients’ health needs and preferences.
- Monitor client progress, adjust dietary strategies as needed, and document all care according to professional and organizational standards.
- Deliver group workshops, webinars, or classes on topics such as weight loss strategies, mindful eating, portion control, and balanced nutrition.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, fitness professionals, or wellness coaches when applicable.
- Stay current on nutrition science, weight-loss research, and best practices in lifestyle medicine.
- Maintain a supportive, non‑judgmental approach to foster long‑term client engagement and motivation.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required; must be in good standing with CDR.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship.
- New Jersey licensure/certification as required.
- Experience in weight management, lifestyle coaching, or clinical nutrition preferred.
- Strong communication and motivational interviewing skills.
- Ability to use nutrition-related software, telehealth platforms, and electronic health records.
Preferred Skills
- Expertise in behavior-change models (e.g., motivational interviewing, cognitive‑behavioral strategies).
- Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for obesity, diabetes, and heart health.
- Ability to translate complex nutrition science into simple, actionable guidance.
- Empathy, patience, and a client-centered counseling style.
- Group education or workshop facilitation experience.
