Who We Are:
Physicians of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics is a busy, growing primary care practice dedicated to delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. We’re looking to hire ASAP and want a motivated, compassionate Medical Assistant who thrives in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support providers in delivering excellent patient care
  • Perform phlebotomy and assist with lab procedures
  • Take and document vital signs, BMI, and medical histories
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR
  • Schedule lab work, follow up on results, and communicate with patients
  • Handle prior authorizations, medication refills, and pharmacy coordination
  • Manage medical faxes and administrative workflows
  • Lead back-office operations in collaboration with the Practice Manager while ensuring adherence to office policies
  • Balance a role that is approximately 60% administrative and 40% clinical responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong multitasking abilities and be tech-savvy in a fast-paced environment
  • Assist with both clinical and front-office responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
  • Phlebotomy experience required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced setting

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Athena or Office Ally EMR systems
  • Knowledge of medical coding and documentation
  • BLS certification
  • Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medication administration
  • Strong patient service and customer care skills
  • Experience in primary care or clinical settings

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Monday–Friday (day shift)
  • Occasional one Saturday a month
