Sr Performance Analyst

Physicians Mutual is seeking a Senior Performance Analyst to help shape the future of our Policyowner Services organization. This is a unique opportunity to build and enhance operational analytics, reporting, and performance insights that directly influence customer experience, service quality, and business outcomes.

As a strategic partner to operational leadership, you will transform complex data into actionable insights, identify performance drivers, and develop reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. If you enjoy creating dashboards from scratch, uncovering root causes, and telling compelling stories with data, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, performance drivers, and opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and customer experience.
• Conduct root cause analyses and provide actionable recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
• Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to communicate insights, measure results, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4–7 years of experience in data analysis, performance analytics, business intelligence, or operational reporting.
• Experience analyzing operational performance metrics and translating data into business recommendations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.

Preferred

• Experience supporting customer service, contact center, insurance, financial services, or other service-oriented operations.
• SQL or data querying experience.
• Experience integrating data from multiple business systems.
• Professional certifications in business intelligence or analytics platforms.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
