Physicians Mutual is seeking a Security Vulnerability Analyst to join our Enterprise Technology team. This position plays a critical role in strengthening our cybersecurity posture through vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritization, and remediation across the enterprise infrastructure.
You’ll work closely with IT Operations, Audit, Compliance, Software Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to ensure timely and effective management of security vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated to continuously learn in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support vulnerability and patch management processes in line with defined standards.
- Review vulnerability intelligence feeds and assess risk impacts.
- Track remediation progress, create incident tickets, and report outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of security processes and documentation.
- Participate in audit readiness by maintaining records of vulnerability management activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in system, network, or software administration, including 1–2 years in cybersecurity, vulnerability, or patch management.
- Understanding of security frameworks and concepts such as CVE, NVD, MITRE, and OWASP.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, vulnerability scanners, and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira).
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- CompTIA Security or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
