At Physicians Mutual, people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for a Recruiting Specialist to join our Human Resources team and play a key role in identifying, attracting, and engaging top talent across the organization.
In this role, you’ll partner with company leaders to fill a variety of positions while representing Physicians Mutual as an employer of choice in the community. You’ll manage all encompassing recruitment support, including conducting interviews, advising leaders, and ensuring every applicant has a positive experience.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with company hiring manager to recruit and place qualified full-time, part-time, and temporary employees.
- Screen applications and resumes, conduct interviews, and provide guidance on employment procedures.
- Represent Physicians Mutual at career fairs, high schools, colleges, government agencies, and virtual recruiting events.
- Promote career opportunities and share information about employment and professional growth at Physicians Mutual.
- Advise managers on hiring best practices, employment regulations, and internal processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with community organizations and educational institutions to build long-term talent pipelines.
- Provide administrative and advisory support in accordance with EEO, ADA, FMLA, and employment law guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of HR or recruiting experience.
- Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other relevant employment laws.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to build relationships and engage with candidates, managers, and external partners at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Talent Management Systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- HR certification PHR or SHRM-CP/SCP.
