Information Protection Cyber Associate
We are looking for a passionate cyber security individual that wants to take the next step in their career and be part of an amazing Group and Company.
Physicians Mutual is hiring for a full time Cyber Specialist in our Information Protection Group. The primary focus of this role will be cyber security investigations, data protection and program development.
PREPARATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and cyber experience is required. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or related designation is required or to be in process.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY:
Incident Response
- 1 years of hands on experience handling security incidents including malware, ransomware, phishing, and more.
- 1 years of event monitoring, analysis, response, and reporting for IT security incidents utilizing common cyber Toolsets such as SEIM, EDR, NGF and Web/Email Security Gateway devices.
- Ability to prioritize response activities based on intake queues and SLAs.
Data Security
- Demonstrated experience in managing data protection tools and developing data protection strategies that protect a company.
General
- Ability to work across varying levels of technical competency in order to accurately communicate risk and mitigation activities.
- Understanding of information security and privacy frameworks, policies, standard including IS027001, NIST 800-53, PCI, GDPR).
- Knowledge of risk assessment, mitigation and management methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to work in a team environment, and establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships with superiors, peers, subordinates and a variety of external parties.
- Ability to rapidly adapt, gain technical competency, and change directions as industry developments occur.
- Ability to think and act calmly, logically, and rapidly under stress, and carry out duties and responsibilities in a professional, tactful and confidential manner.
