Physicians East, P.A. is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostics team. If you have a strong understanding of human anatomy and magnetic resonance imaging, and a passion for using technology to improve patient care, we invite you to apply.
About the Role
As an MRI Technologist, you will operate advanced MRI equipment to create detailed 3D images of body tissues, aiding in the diagnosis of injuries and diseases. This role is ideal for individuals with excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.
Schedule:
- Tuesday – Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Additional hours may be required to ensure patient care and timely follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepare and position patients according to established protocols.
- Administer oral and IV contrast materials and initiate IVs.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
- Perform daily equipment calibrations and quality assurance checks.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other staff.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain MRI certification and CPR.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Completion of an MRI Technology Certificate Program.
- Registered or registry-eligible in Magnetic Resonance Imaging through ARRT.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform full range of body motion.
- Vision correctable to 20/20 for image analysis and equipment operation.
