Responsibilities
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and assisting with basic diagnostic tasks like ABIs.
- Support clinical staff by managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), documenting medical histories, and updating patient records efficiently
- Assist with medical procedures including medication administration, wound care, or other treatments under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in outpatient clinics, hospital medicine units, or specialized areas
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role; outpatient, inpatient, or hospital experience highly valued
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and EMR/EHR systems such as AthenaOne
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care and service excellence
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
