Part-Time Medical Sales Representative - Remote - Contract
Physician's Liaison, a national healthcare marketing firm, is seeking a motivated Medical Sales Representative to promote a specialized neuroscience practice serving the greater Chicago area.
This is a part-time, contract role - approximately 98% remote. Occasional in-person visits may be needed for introductions. The scope of work is 30 virtual outreach activities per month. An activity is a meaningful practice interaction that moves the relationship forward.
Great for someone who already works in a similar capacity, or who would like to augment their other responsibilities.
We are looking for candidates based in or near the Chicago metro area who are familiar with the local medical landscape, including key suburbs and referral corridors.
Position Overview
The Representative will build and strengthen provider-to-provider referral relationships through targeted outbound phone calls and virtual outreach to medical practices in the Chicago area. All training, support, and materials provided by Physician's Liaison.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound phone calls to targeted medical practices to introduce and promote our client's specialty services
- Build relationships with physicians, practice managers, and clinical staff through consistent, professional phone outreach
- Capture and report competitive intelligence, objections, and market feedback
- Document all outreach activities in an organized, timely manner
- Proactively request commitments for referrals or provider-to-provider meetings
Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of healthcare sales, pharmaceutical sales, medical device sales, or strong phone-based sales experience with healthcare industry knowledge
- Proven ability to build rapport with physicians, practice managers, and clinical staff over the phone
- Comfortable discussing complex medical services with healthcare professionals
- Strong objection-handling skills while remaining professional and solutions-focused
- Familiarity with the greater Chicago medical market preferred
Target Referral Sources May Include:
Psychiatry, Neurology, Primary Care, Therapy / Behavioral Health, Pain Management, and others as determined by the client.
Compensation per Month:
- Base: $450
- Attainable Incentive: $450
