Job description:
Physician Management Resources, a Boston based healthcare consulting company is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our outstanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting clients in their day-to-billing operations including reviewing, coding, and processing medical claims and well providing a high-level approach to creating workflow processes, analyzing and sharing RCM results.
This is a hybrid position. Candidates must live in Massachusetts have the ability to commute to Needham, MA as needed.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- End to end knowledge of the revenue cycle: charge capture, coding, billing, follow up, denials, and payment posting including a strong understanding of payer rules, contracts, and reimbursement methodologies
- Strong investigative skills to research unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims; Ability to discern systemic issues impacting cash flow and AR performance vs. Individual payer issues
- Advanced ability to run, interpret, and analyze accounts receivable and aging reports
- Proven track record as a problem solver
- Polished and professional communication skills with the ability to foster confidence internally and externally as a subject matter expert
- Experience with multiple practice management systems and confidence to learn and become expert in new systems
- Experience working multiple, client accounts simultaneously yet make every client feel like they are the only one
