Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anatomic Pathologist to the group at NYC Health Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Opportunity Details
- Sign-out of general anatomic pathology cases, including surgical pathology and both GYN and non-Gyn Cytology.
- Intraoperative consultations.
- Rapid on-site evaluation of FNA adequacy, renal biopsies, and biopsy touch preparations.
- Review of abnormal hematology slides.
- Participation in interdisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and specialty-specific meetings.
- Performance and sign-out of postmortem examinations.
- Participation in departmental quality assurance activities.
- Teaching of medical students and clinical residents.
- Providing consultative input to referring physicians regarding lab findings.
- Occasional night or weekend coverage for frozen sections may be required.
Salary : $270,000 - $280,000
