Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in conducting assessments and developing individualized care plans for patients.
- Implement treatment modalities such as trigger point therapy, physiotherapy techniques, and exercise programs tailored to each patient's needs.
- Provide patient care by guiding patients through therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and strength.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and any changes in condition using medical terminology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive discharge planning for patients transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-management strategies to promote independence.
- Support the physical therapist in managing care for diverse populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in an outpatient clinic is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care plan development is a plus.
- Experience working with various patient populations including those requiring rehabilitation after surgery or injury.
